Amy O’Banion
Chief Operating Officer
Amy brings a distinctive background shaped by her Texas roots and a life lived with purpose. After marrying her high school sweetheart, Amy spent the next 16 years navigating military life during her husband's Navy career — serving as a devoted stay-at-home mom to their two daughters while also stepping up as a family ombudsman, advocating for military families and sharpening the organizational instincts, adaptability, and people skills that have defined her career ever since.
Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to run a successful photography business for over a decade, and her love for animals brought her into rescue work, dog resort management, and professional training — each chapter adding another layer to a career built on service and relationship.
Amy joined SimpleLawTX part-time as a paralegal, stepping into the legal world with no formal training and learning alongside Carey from the ground up. What began as a part-time role grew into something much larger, and so did she. Today, Amy serves as Chief Operating Officer, the result of years of earned trust, self-taught legal knowledge, and a genuine commitment to helping the firm grow. She keeps operations running smoothly, the client experience strong, and the team supported, all while staying true to the same service-first approach she has carried throughout her life.
Now based in New Mexico with her husband, Amy finds joy in the simplicity and beauty of the world around her: majestic mountains, open backroads, and chasing the perfect sunrise through her camera lens. She is a proud mother of two grown daughters and devoted pet parent to two lovable pups, someone who brings the same care to her personal life as she does to everything she touches professionally, and who never takes life's simple pleasures for granted.
