SMS Terms and Conditions | SimpleLawTX

These SMS Terms and Conditions govern text message communications from the Law Office of Carey Worrell, PLLC, doing business as SimpleLawTX ("SimpleLawTX," "we," "us," or "our"). By opting in to receive text messages from SimpleLawTX, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. SMS Consent and Communication

SimpleLawTX sends text messages to clients and prospective clients who have consented to receive SMS communications.

By opting in, you authorize SimpleLawTX to send text messages to the mobile phone number you provide for purposes related to consultations, legal services, appointments, and other non-promotional communications.

Consent to receive SMS messages is voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing legal services, scheduling a consultation, or retaining our firm.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent information will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may use authorized service providers to facilitate our text messaging services, subject to applicable privacy and confidentiality protections.

2. Types of SMS Communications

If you have consented to receive text messages from SimpleLawTX, you may receive communications related to the following:

  • Appointment scheduling, confirmations, and reminders
  • Consultation scheduling and follow-ups
  • Responses to inquiries and conversational communications
  • Case or legal matter status updates
  • Requests for documents or additional information
  • Notifications concerning documents and deadlines
  • Billing, invoices, and payment reminders
  • Other administrative communications related to legal services

SimpleLawTX does not use this SMS program to send marketing or promotional text messages.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency may vary depending on your legal matter, appointment schedule, and communication needs.

You may receive multiple messages as necessary to coordinate consultations, provide updates, request information, or respond to your inquiries.

SimpleLawTX does not guarantee a specific number of messages or a fixed messaging schedule.

4. Potential Fees for SMS Messaging

Message and data rates may apply.

Standard messaging and data charges may be assessed by your wireless carrier based on your mobile service plan. Charges may vary depending on your carrier, plan, and whether messages are sent domestically or internationally.

SimpleLawTX does not charge an additional fee for participating in its SMS communication program.

Contact your wireless carrier for information about applicable messaging and data charges.

5. SMS Opt-In Methods

You may consent to receive SMS communications from SimpleLawTX through one or more of the following methods, where offered:

  • Selecting an SMS consent checkbox on an online contact, intake, or consultation form
  • Completing and signing a paper or electronic form containing SMS consent language
  • Providing express consent through an agreement that includes SMS communication authorization
  • Providing express verbal consent during a conversation with our office, when supported by our messaging procedures

If you initiate a text conversation with SimpleLawTX, we may respond to your inquiry by text. Initiating a conversation does not automatically authorize unrelated or ongoing text message communications.

Providing your mobile number alone does not automatically enroll you in recurring SMS communications.

6. SMS Opt-Out Methods

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages from SimpleLawTX at any time.

To unsubscribe, reply STOP to any text message received from SimpleLawTX.

After submitting your opt-out request, you may receive one final confirmation message acknowledging your request. No further messages will be sent through the SMS program unless you provide new consent or otherwise request communications as permitted by applicable law.

You may also withdraw your consent by contacting our office directly at (281) 697-6678 or contact@simplelawtx.com.

If you wish to resume receiving SMS messages, contact our office to provide new consent. You may also reply START if that feature is supported by our messaging system.

Opting out of SMS communications does not affect your ability to receive legal services from SimpleLawTX. Our office may communicate with you through other appropriate channels regarding your legal matter.
